After being in the business for almost 20 years and owning my own brokerage for the past 3 years, I have grown and learned so much in the real estate industry. After years of working for other brokers I realized that something was missing within them. I realized that most brokerages only cared about the bottom line. I fell into a similar trap when I first opened my own brokerage, EBG Properties. The past three years have been so amazing but I realized I needed a change. This brokerage is about so much more than just the bottomline. It’s about the people that we work with and work for. After much consideration, I have decided to rebrand my company. I am so excited to officially announce Bridge Home Realty! The goal of Bridge Home Realty is to be all about the people; I want it to be about the staff, the relationships we build with others in the industry;  I want it to be about helping people of all knowledge levels to get into the homes and investments that they dreamed about. Whether it’s their first rental, growing their investment portfolio, or finding someones forever home. At Bridge Home Realty, we are here to navigate you through every step of the real estate process. We welcome anyone and everyone to join us in the journey of renting, buying, selling or investing. At Bridge Home Realty, we are dedicated to giving our clients the best experience possible. Bridge Home Realty is in the business of helping. 

Along with our new mission and vision, we will be taking our customer service to the next level! Our focus will be to use all of our experiences, relationships, and work ethic to find a way to make the impossible, possible!  We will continue to help assist anyone and everyone through their real estate journey. Our sister company EBG Property Management will be refocusing to make the experience for our owners and tenants the best in the industry. With the help of our sister company Tauber Homes Repair & Renovations, we will be able to offer full renovation services and any repairs you may need, including our brand new concierge service helping owners renovate their home prior to selling without paying upfront out of pocket.

As the days are getting longer and the weather is starting to warm up, the real estate market is also starting to heat up. We are still seeing a very hot market in the Pittsburgh area, specifically the North Hills. Many homes are continuing to go into a bidding war with over asking prices.

Tips for Buying in a Hot Market

  1. Get Pre-Approved: This shows you how much you can afford when shopping for a new home. This also shows sellers you are serious about making an offer.
  2. Don’t Get Discouraged: With low inventory you might not see homes you like right away. Or the homes you like are going quickly. This is okay! Your dream house will be waiting for you when it’s time.
  3. Make Your Offer Stand Out: A few ways you can make your offer competitive is by offering fewer contingencies, larger hand money (earnest money deposit), and price escalation addendum.
